Unique new product - another world first from ScopeTeknix! The ScopeTeknix Bino-laser-Finder is a combined mounting bracket for binoculars and a collimatable finder bracket for a green laser pointer (laser not included). Ideal for use with all astronomy binoculars that have a tripod fitting point. The green laser is a great way to point binoculars in the night sky and be sure you are perfectly zeroed-in on target. Our comment: "The night night sky can be quite confusing when seen through binoculars and it can be harder to pick out familiar constellations (because of the magnified views). The difference in the number of stars visible and the tendency of binoculars to compress the brightness range of stars (because of the increased light-gathering properties of the binocular) all add to this apparent confusion. That's where this great new gadget from ScopeTeknix comes in - you can now easily attach a green laser pointer (not included) to your binocular and find every target with ease. The special bracket allows the binocular to be mounted on a tripod (recommended) or simply attached to the binocular when used for sweeping around hand-held (this is a great feature - and lets you easily identify the exact location of an interesting object with the naked eye for atlas/map identification)." Made from rigid steel the heavy duty bracket fits easily to all our tripods as well as all standard camera tripods and and can be used with any binocular with a standard tripod bracket fitting point. The grey coloured laser mounting is made of aluminium and has nylon collimating screws. The laser finder attaches to the top-plate of the bracket with nylon thumbscrews With the laser attached, the finder works by simply projecting a bright beam and end spot into the dark sky which, once collimated with the binocular, makes easy work of pointing to targets in the sky that you have identified with atlases or planetarium programs etc. We recommend caution when using laser pointing devices when other observers are present as such use may constitute a severe nuisance to other observers. See manufacturers instructions supplied with laser (available separately) for vital information on laser radiation hazard and user safety. This versatile binocular mounting bracket uses standard two-hole fitting on the top-plate so it can also be used to attach an optical or red-dot finder to any binocular. See recommended accessories. All metal construction. Supplied with all fittings. Please note: the binocular, tripod and laser equipment shown in the picture above are NOT included in the price of the finder bracket. A great idea - a combined laser finder bracket and binocular tripod support in one! |
